Venice Art Walls
The "Graffiti" project group invited us along
to question what is art & what is graffiti?
We had the opportunity to get out into our immediate and surrounding communities,
and we even got to ride the Big Blue Bus!

and to Jessica for leading the graffiti group!

Noah's Ark Exhibit
at the Skirball Cultural Center
Inspired by the ancient flood story, which has parallels in diverse cultures around the world, this one-of-a-kind exhibition allowed us to connect with one another, and further learn the value of community. We also looked at reusable materials as art, and were inspired to create new pieces in the future. This field trip earned us a 5 Star bus award for our courteous behavior traveling to and from the museum. Thank you to our fabulous bus driver, Mrs. Elie!

THE L.A. ZOO
The "Animals" project group planned this field trip to help us investigate "What makes animals happy?" Our class had differing views on whether or not certain animals at the zoo were happy, and discussed why or why not. We practiced our accountable talk skills as we listened to each other and stated our opinions.
