Congratulations Writers!

The Partners published their "How-To Books" before Spring Break.

Their titles included
"How To Catch a Leprechaun" by Emily,
Hannah's "How to Draw a Rainbow,"
"How To Bake" by Dixie,
"How to Play Soccer" by Oisin.

The Partners wrote and illustrated their books over the course of a month - learning about sequencing, order words (first, second, next, then), and adding details to our pictures and words.

The children are learning that writers think and work carefully on their own.
But they also use one another as resources when they need help.

In the end, all of the children published their favorite How-To book.
They planned a surprise "Writing Bash" to share their books with their Core 3 Reading Buddies and their families.

In turn, our Core 3 Reading Buddies brought their Poetry Books, which
they had just published in their Writers' Workshop.
It was truly an inspiring morning!
